When the volcano Krakatoa exploded in 1883, the sound could be heard over 4,000km away, ash fell in Singapore 840km to the north and giant 40 meter waves hurled around the world. And, on the nearby island of Java, it rained large pieces of lava.

My “rare and unusual stone source” says that there are no “semi precious” stones… just precious stones of different values. Both he and I have searched high and low to find more of the same quality of these unique stones, to no avail.

I’ve used these bold chunks of Lava that glisten in the light, along with Moonstone from Sri Lanka and Malaysian Black Coral...a very bold and sophisticated look.  The woman wearing this necklace is definitely someone who knows her own mind… someone to be reckoned with.  Definitely.

You are about to acquire a unique piece of art. The stones were mined by hand and shaped individually by skilled artisans. Every stone is different. The color and texture will vary from stone to stone depending on which mine or source they were derived from. Being one-of-a-kind pieces they will not exactly match each other or the pictures on the site. I try to balance stones as much as possible sorted by color and size.
